Juniper EX3300 for Home Lab
I chose the Juniper EX3300 for my home lab because of its powerful feature set, including JunOS, QinQ, LACP, VRF, OSPF, and BGP support. With 24 Gigabit Ethernet ports and 4 SFP+ ports, it provides excellent flexibility for a variety of networking needs.
One downside, however, is the noise level—the EX3300 can be quite loud. To mitigate this, I replaced the stock fans with Noctua NF-A4x20 FLX models. This upgrade significantly reduced the noise while maintaining efficient airflow, making the switch much more suitable for a home lab environment.
